Does sampling for a mystery shopping program follow the same rules as consumer satisfaction surveys? I understand that for consumer satisfaction surveys, it's standard practice to have a sample size that statistically reflects the population; typically with a 95% confidence interval and within a 5% margin of error. However, for a mystery shopping program in which I want to measure adherence to methods and procedures, not actually capturing feedback from consumers, is it still necessary for me to base my sample on the total population?
