Difference between "Sample Size" and "Group Size"??

In my online AP Statistics class, our final project is to conduct a survey and then analyze the data. Well, one of the questions as part of my analysis is "What is the size of the sample? the group sample? (Explain why) " What's the difference?! I had 50 subjects. And what exactly am I to explain? thanks so much for any help.

Difference between "Sample Size" and "Group Size"??
the group size is 50 because that is how many people that participated and the sample size is how many people responded yes and how ever many responded no.
Reply:as far as i know the basic difference between both is tht a sample is an individual and holds lminority whereas group signifies togetherness and holds majority
Reply:Within those fifty subjects, there are a few that fall outside the mean. These are the students at the far end of both sides of the scale. They don't really mean anything because they are too far away from the group and just dilute the results. The sample size is the group toward the center of the sample, where you have the most results that hit the mark. Lets say you have fifty students and forty six of them get between 86 and 100 on a test. One of them gets a zero because he just wrote his name on the paper and doodled for the rest of the period. One got a forty because he was sick that day and couldn't stay awake long enough to finish. The ones outside the means (between 86 - 100) are the ones that you don't include in the study becuase they just confuse your results. Hope this helps.
