How hard is the actual CFA level one test relative to the sample questions given on their website?

http://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprog/cour...

According to the CFA website: "

To allow candidates to survey the rigor and question formats of each exam, we have several sets of sample questions."

I would emphasize "rigor" if I could. Anyway, I, as an undergraduate senior with a strong background in both economics and accounting, was wondering how difficult the first part of the CFA exam was relative to the sample questions given above. Are those questions less or more difficult than the ones on the actual exam?

If they are less/more difficult than the actual examination questions, could you point me to a good source that has test questions that accurately reflect the tests difficulty?

The difficulty of level I consists in two aspects:

1. the scope

2. Time

You have only a limited amount of time for each question, the exam covers a wide range of different topics. But you have the right background so you should emphasize the time constraint aspect when preparing for the exam, by doing practice questions under a time constraint.

Schweser or Stalla have good prep materials including booklets with entire past exams. Sometimes You can get past year's practice exams on ebay.
