If I were to make a survey on any issue , how do i select my sample.please give examples?

If you want a statistically valid sample, it must include responses from 1200 people drawn at random.

The questions must be posed in such a manner that no bias is introduced to skew the results.

Gender, Race, Religion, Political Party, Geography, Regional Variation, Language and Social and Economic Elements if not reduced in study impact can all skew the results to introduce errors.

The Poll taker must be careful in conducting the poll to prevent introducing errors into the question and answer process.

To insure a random selection process, the group to be interviewed should be drawn from a valid pool of people, such as a Voter Registration list.

The language of the questions should not skew the results by the use of inflammatory terms, or uncommon adverbs to distort or bias listeners. Then the results of the questionaire must be analyzed. A statistically valid survey will be accurate to +/- 3 percent, if the results are free of poll errors.
