What is the usual sample size for a survey?

a sample size of at least 10-20% of the population is acceptable for large populations. but say for example your population is just 20 or 50, i suggest you take all of them. remember, the bigger the sample size, the better your survey will be.

What is the usual sample size for a survey?
Well it really depends. If you want an extensive and information survey, then about 100 people. Try not to go beyond that or you'll have a hard time compiling the results and analyzing them. If you just want a simple and quick survey, I suggest about 20 people will be sufficient. :)
