What kind of questions should I ask on a survey, to determine if color affects peoples moods?

Im conducting an experiment, and I have almost everything I need in order to complete my experiment, but I also want to ask a survey to see if the questions I ask effect the answer of the person give according to the paper. I've researched for sample questions I can ask but im still having a lot of trouble.. can anyone offer some good advice for questions.. I would appreciate it greatly..

Make a book of colors as many as you want...


When doing the interviews flash the color in front of the person and hand them a pre-designed response for to check off.


Put your responses going across the top


Put the colors going down the page


make sure to have it in columns.

Reply:In order to prove this you have to hide the actual purpose of the survey. Put the respondents in a monocolor environment, then use Likert scale questions to determine their mood. If you do not have the resources to change the entire environment, you could prove something just by putting the mood survey on different color papers.





I know there has been studies in the past about how color affects moral, work, and productivity. They basically modified the colors then observed the effects. Model the same idea but use a survey to measure the mood.
Reply:I am assuming you meant that you would be using different colored paper to put the same survey on... i.e. red paper with questions a-g then blue paper with questions a-g and so on....





You should ask emotion-type questions. Word them differently for the different colors but keep them the same premise.





Ask questions that would provoke strong emotions so you can get clear answers. Give them situational questions. What would you do in this situation? Give scenerios and keep them consistent from paper to paper. That way the questions are your constant.
Reply:I would write a list of colors and ask the people taking the survey to write down the emotion they associate with that color.
